Life, Liberty and the pursuit of a Cup

Hockey is in its transitional phase, my own personal hockey play has been put on hold and my weekly podcast (The Weekly Deke) has been handed over to Schrembs. My routine was normal and consistent – Monday nights I play hockey, Tuesday nights I talk about hockey on The Weekly Deke and Wed – Sunday I watch, read, blog, dream, discuss at length and argue the many amazing opinions that surround this incredible sport. Lauren Shares Her Thoughts On Last Season

Reading her Tweets about the games she worked and the games she watched gave me hope for the Carolina Hurricanes, and during the playoffs the excitement level and pure adrenalin was apparent in every one of her posts. My Wedding Surprise - A Tasty NHL Treat!

Today - I start with my wife! Story goes like this … Our wedding was on October 14th, 2006 - Dawn and I were married in the Florida Keys at an amazing beach side sunset wedding. The night before we held the rehersal dinner … everything went as planned and before I knew it we were enjoying our poolside BBQ for our “Cheeseburger In Paradise” themed pre-wedding party! As the evening rolled along, and as fun was being had by all … I hear my name being called and my presence was requested on the other side of the gathering crowd.
