The Daily Deke was founded in early 2008 as a part of NosebleedRadio.com, the companion blog of the Nosebleed sports netcast. The Daily Deke became Nosebleed Sports dedicated section for talking about all things Hockey.  After the blog was created, The Weekly Deke (TWeekD) launched its first podcast, as a sister show to Nosebleed, again, dedicated only to Hockey.

In May of 2008, Ice Junkies Bill Brister and Clint Bundrick, merged their blog into the Daily Deke family, bringing their year-old archives with them.  At the same time, Alan joined the Daily Deke team.  Then two months later, in June 2008, the Daily Deke relaunched with a new look and new focus - Bill then took the reigns as lead blogger and host of TWeekD netcast.

TWeekD is focused on bringing the sport of Hockey to fans at all levels.
